i've been driving myself insane with this camera. trying to force what would just flow if i wasn't all caught up in the process.
it's not good.
today, i inacted an almost unthinkable policy of weeding as i go. deleting forever the images that at that moment pollute the days collection. i've always held that i wanted to keep everything, because context changes and meaning changes, and maybe blurry isnt what i wanted now, but i might look back in a year and see it differently.
not anymore. now. i have to focus on what i want, clearly. and weeding out images helps me better asses where i am for a given day.
i thought i was having a miserable day for photos then weeded and slideshowed what i have, and it isn't going to get me a book deal or an exhibition, but it's not bad either. so, new policy in place.
there you go.
policies are made to be displaced, replaced and put in place, before the whole policy process begins again. the committee of one knows what he's doing.

You know the reluctant one is all about the purge. Get rid of it now before it clutters your space and pollutes your mind.
That said, i hope you take care when you are deleting your images. What is seemingly imperfect could, in fact be,
utter perfection.
rule with an iron hand but a cautious eye.
